Living Walls
Flowerbox – A Contemporary Green Wall
May 22nd
Flowerbox, a company from Quebec, Canada, has a few contemporary living wall designs. These flowerboxes are designed to hang inside your home. They’re basically small planters inside three different types of boxes. You can order cardboard – yes, cardboard – aluminum or ceramic. The reason that the cardboard works for the planters is because you still water the planters traditionally/horizantally. Just take the planter down, water it carefully into the compacted soil, then hang it back up. The planters come with 1, 3, or 4 hole versions in a variety of colours.
Living Wall in Getafe, Madrid, Spain

While there’s a mini courtyard on the supermarket’s roof, the living wall is not accessible to the public.
The challenge was building a vertical garden on all four sides of the vent. Each side had different lighting and required different plants. From Urbanarbolismo – Spanish
