I became fascinated with living walls after seeing what Patrick Blanc (image from hyperexperience) did in Paris by transforming plain buildings into gardens. The entire concrete side of a building suddenly had plants growing out of it right in the middle of the city.

The first thing I thought was that I needed to get something like that in my place.

The biggest challenge was finding something out there that would allow me to make a living wall/vertical garden in an eco-friendly and cost-effective way.

That was way more difficult than it sounds.

Countless hours and designs later, I came up with the Wall Planter.  This planter can be used indoors or out and can be hung in an office or in your home.  It’s a piece of 3D wall art that living and breathing.  It not only looks good, but it also takes carbon dioxide and turns it into oxygen. It’s super low maintenance and it’s made out of recycled food-safe styrofoam in a non-toxic hard casing.

It took a long time to come up with this design, and now it’s hanging in my living room. I’ve since gotten to thinking that it would be great to share what I learned in the design process and give access to this planter if you want a living wall or vertical garden of your own. I started this blog to share my enthusiasm for living wall art and I hope you enjoy!
